1st Annual Pink Hope Fundraising Event

On Wednesday October 28th, 2009 Dialogue Forum’s Women’s Division held its 1st Annual Pink Hope Fundraising event.

The event started off with fundraising.  Books, clothes and food were sold to help raise money for a local organization: The Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation.

Patricia Bradley, a trainer from the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation, spoke on behalf of the organization by explaining what the Linda Creed Foundation was and its mission.  Bradley also talked about what breast cancer is, who could get it, why people get it, what to do to prevent it and how to take care of yourself after you have found out you have breast cancer.

LuAnn Cahn, an NBC 10 Investigator, spoke about her life struggle with breast cancer.  She emphasized to the audience how important it was to do breast self-exams and to get mammography testing done.

The night ended with small gifts being presented to the speakers as well as a raffle drawing , which 3 tickets were chosen.

A local TV station, Ebru TV, covered the event.
